About Me

My name is Samantha Mean and I am the Owner of Samantha Mean Photography. I have been doing photography for approximately 10 years and was previously blessed with a job travelling the world doing photography.

I am now based in Strokestown capturing beautiful images of local families which is my true passion.

I have recently rebranded my business from Forget Me Not Photography to Samantha Mean Photography.

I began my photography journey being trained by so many talented photographers while working on a Cruise Ship travelling the world. Each photographer had their own techniques and way of shooting and setting up their studios and it was an absolute blessing getting to watch and work with so many talented people. I was also fortunate enough to be sent to Dexter in the USA for specialised training in Black and White Photography with Joe Craig.

I opened my own Photography Studio in Strokestown in 2018, which was another incredible experience but soon found after that I very much enjoyed being the travel photographer so I turned my business more mobile in 2019, with the closure of the studio. Since then I have been more free with my work and hire studios and shoot more lifestyle documentary style photography.
