Lough Crew, Oldcastle, Westmeath

I love Loughcrew! One of my favourite places to take the kids is a walk up to Loughcrew, but please watch out for the sheep poop. We took our visitors from the uk to view Loughcrew with such a stunning view it again is fun for the whole family and it would be rude not to with such lovely weather. If you have visitors and are in Westmeath I would recommend this walk and don't forget your cameras. It has parking at the bottom but is a fairly steep climb, but so worth it once you reach the top!

If you are making a day of it to we usually visit the megalithic centre lough crew they have lovely food, friendly staff and also do exhibitions of local artists work and creation. This is a campsite too so would make a beautiful place to stay and they also have a great play park for the kids.
